The Moppine is the new all-in-one oven mitt and kitchen towel. A great time saver this kitchen towel has pot holders built in two of the corners. Rachael Ray frequently has one tossed over her shoulder while cooking on her show. The waffle weave fabric is super absorbent. Dry your kitchen faves in a zip and then just hang the Moppine up. Protect your hands with the built in oven mitts. The oven mitt pockets are padded and lined with terry fabric to insulate hands from the heat. The Moppine is a kitchen must-have for all cooks.

I like the concept but found the moppine cumbersome at first. Repeated use has helped me to be more comfortable using these. Wish you could mix & match the colors to make up your own set!

these are helpful to have in the kitchen. they do double duty as potholders and kitchen towels. it is true that heat protection is a bit limited, meaning i would not hold onto a hot pot coming out of the oven for several minutes. just know where you are going to put something down when you take it out of the oven, rather than searching for a space to place it after removing it. this is the way professional cooks do it, often using just a regular kitchen towel to remove things from the oven. but this offers much more padding than that in the pot holder corners of the towel. so it is ideal for this use. in general i am a fan of rachael ray's products. i have enjoyed her pans and her silicone kitchen tools very much. she seems to create items that are actually useful and fill a niche previously unfilled. there is nothing on the market like this, offering you both a towel and oven mitt in one piece. she even gives three of them, which is a lot! they will be very helpful to the person who cooks. don't hesitate to get them.

A little disappointed.....November 30, 2009

I was so excited to get these blue stripe moppine oven mitts because I have seen Rachel Ray use them and I think it is a really neat idea. I like them, however I am disappointed in the quality. After one washing,as directed, the stitching around the mitt part came undone and left a big hole so now they look ugly. Maybe mine were defective. I do not want to send them back for a refund even though I should. I feel that they should be of a better quality.
