- For regular maintenance of knife blades, press lightly while drawing the blade through the Diamond Fingers to gently hone the edge in the non-diamond section at the top of the fingers.
- To resharpen a worn blade, press down while drawing the blade through the rotating Diamond Fingers, where metal will be gently and evenly removed to reshape rounded or damaged edges.
