Product Description:
Finally a knife designed with the perfect sandwich in mind. The round tooth serrations are perfect for tough crusts and a variety of fillings. The flat spreader is designed with a round corner, perfect for scraping the last bit out of the jar. The reverse wedge handle actively resists forward slip.
In fewer than five years, Rachael Ray has radically changed the way America cooks dinner. Her perky-girl-next-door swagger, her catchphrases for techniques, and her dinner ideology of simpler, less expensive and just in time have sold billions of books and placed her at the top of the talent heap of food television personalities.
Furi knives have long been recognized for their outstanding performance and terrific value. The Gusto Grip collection was developed in conjunction with popular chef Rachael Ray, who loved the professional qualities of Füri, but desired a convenient non-slip grip in her favorite color, orange. The result is a knife that appeals to home chefs and professionals alike. The Gusto Grip handles feature "Furi Guard", antimicrobial inhibitors incorporated directly and permanently into the Gusto Grip handles. This is done during the manufacturing process, giving the handle an added safeguard against microorganisms that can degrade the handle material over time. The high-carbon, stainless blade is highly durable and offers precision cutting and lasting edge retention. For best results, Füri knives should be sharpened regularly, hand washed and dried thoroughly before storing.
Introduced in the U.S. by Matfer, Füri knives originated in Australia, designed by engineer Mark Henry in collaboration with professional chefs. Unique in construction and look, these knives are designed with the professional user in mind, and will be a lasting addition to any home kitchen. Füri knives are also beautiful enough to display on your countertop.

Disappointing PerformanceMarch 4, 2009

I have other Furi knives that I love, but this one is a bust. I find it too short to get good leverage to cut a sandwich and it seems very dull. I'd send it back, but that would cost more than the knife. I imagine it will get included in my next batch of donation items.

Love the Sammy Knife. ?But that set of the scissors and knife has a lot to be desired. The knife is great, but the scissors would hardly cut soft butter. Very Poor. Both my niece and I bought them at Bed Bath & Beyond a couple of weeks ago and are very disappointed.

works great ~ just be careful when placing your hand on top of the sammy to cut. When you pull the knife back the notch part hits your hand.
