Product Description:
This excellent multi-purpose kitchen knife is a must have for all home cooks. A “Western” version of a traditional Japanese blade, the Rachael Ray Rocker Style knife combines a front edge “Santoku” for all chopping and slicing, while also incorporating a longer chop length similar to a mezzaluna. The unique blade wraps under the handle, which
reduces wrist fatigue by providing better leverage required for chopping directly under the hand. It comes with a full metal bolster with Furi ®Gusto-Grip™ handle in
Rachael Ray’s signature color.

Great style, but could be improvedSeptember 23, 2010
By Randy, CA
I was excited when I first saw this, and even more so when it actually arrived. The knife has good balance and is really good for rocking style chopping. I have been using it daily for about 2 weeks. And it's pretty inexpensive. But: - It seems to dull quickly. It already will not cut through the skins of ripe tomatoes (it’s late summer) - The grip gets slippery when wet. Careful. - It’s heavy. I only notice this when not using the rocking chopping style - It seems to be picking up spots and water deposits (Yes, I hand was every time and leave it to dry vertically in the rack, like my 25 year old Wustofs) ) My bottom line: This knife is a close miss, and could be improved. It should have had a Santoku or Granton style hollow ground scalloped blade which would have made it much more practical for general purposes and given it a longer lasting edge
