4 Mighty Mite
August 19, 2013
By Charles, TX
This scale fills in the gap in measuring since it allows me to weigh very small amounts that get hazy on standard scales. I mean like 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon. And it comes in handy weighing small letters to make sure I'm paying the correct postage. It fits in a pocket or backpack and looks like a small calculator - nicely discreet so I'm not too obvious if I weigh something I'm eating in a public place.

3 Great addition to your purse
December 27, 2011
By Maria, IL
The best thing about the scale other than the fact that you can measure your food anywhere is its perfect compact size. The most irritating feature is that it takes longer than most standard size kitchen scales to get to the final reading.

Love the size and weight. One issue is the gasket seems to fall off easily. Would like a carry pouch.

5 Travel-Size Food Scale
June 4, 2010
By Bobette, NV
This is perfect for traveling. I on a diet and this is so easy to slip into the drawer in our motor home for trips or into a over night bag for motel stays. It is the right size to weigh a chicken breast or a small steak. I love it!!!

3 Scale is very small
April 6, 2010
By gay , NV
The scale weighs only 8 oz at a time. It works very well and is very precise. It is difficult to weigh food on because of it's size. You can't put even a small plate on it and still see the digits. It fits easily in a purse.

4 Convenient for diabetics
August 18, 2009
By Christine, AZ
Very necessary tool for diabetics when eating out! Love that we can zero out conveniently to measure many items quickly - (very important for a hungry child!) The small size is also ideal for travel. Agree that there can be trouble with the batteries - adjusting the prongs tighter helps to keep them in place...

4 Useful mini-scale
March 11, 2009

Due to dietary considerations, I need to be able to weigh out portions of food even when eating out. This little scale has really helped take the guesswork out of my meals which can be extremely stressful. Don't let the pictures fool you, the scale can handle up to about 250g which is more than enough for the average serving of food.

I like the portability, but it's too small for my purposes. It's hard to see the numbers when I have something on it that overlaps.

5 Very satisfied

This little scale does just what it says it'll do and does it well. You can weigh directly on the scale pad (for lack of a better term) itself and if an item is too large/messy/unwieldy for this method you can use the cover as a tray to help get an accurate measurement. I've not had any problems with this scale using it in this manner, and it gets added points for truly being portable (can definitely fit it in your pocket if there is no other option)and having a relatively sleek design that doesn't leave you hesitant to use it while dining in public. All in all this is a good purchase.

5 Perfect scale for home and away,a WINNER!
May 27, 2008
By Andrea, NY
This is the greatest little scale. It's the size of a deck of cards, weighs almost nothing itself and weighs both in ounces (up to 8) and grams. I took it on a 2 week trip and even have used it at restaurants. For someone who is set on losing weight, measuring and weighing is the way to go. I use this little wonder daily. I've lost 18 pounds so far and this scale is one of the main reasons I have been successful.

2 Misses the mark

Although I was looking for a compact traveling foods scale this product is much to small to do any body any good.I am diabetic and need to measure
my food portion and this is like a toy. You could not put a 5 oz chicken breast for example on the area available. The best you could do is a few Cheerios which is definately not suitable for my needs.

I didn't really need another digital scale but the concept was so novel, I had to get one for my purse/work. It's sooo easy to operate/understand without reading a lot of directions, and we sometimes use it to weigh mail at work. Small and lightweight, it's a great scale to have whenever you need it.

3 Very convenient but sometimes a little fickle
February 14, 2007
By Maryanne, NY
The scale is very convenient because it is small. It's very easy to use. My only problem with it is sometimes it takes some time for the scale to stop changing numbers. I will have to tare it a few times before I can weigh something. Very portable though.

5 Highly recommend it

I would buy this again....in fact I did buy it again. I liked it so much I bought one for my sister. It is not a heavy duty scale, but it is great for measuring out individual portions. Small enough to take it with you. Easy to zero out when putting a bowl on the scale.
