4 Perfect Potatoes
October 8, 2014
By Rose, NY
I used this food mill for the first time to make mashed potatoes and was really pleased at how smooth and creamy they came out. It is a little difficult to take off and put on the crossbar but I'm hoping that with use it will loosen a bit. I'm looking forward to using this for many different things.

price value is good. Other same products are price too high. This food mill works equally well.

I really haven't had a chance to use the food mill. It was easy to put together and a lot lighter than my old one. It also has three blades, the one I had just had the one. We will see if it last as long as my old one (35 years). I hope so

4 Best inexpensive food mill
March 25, 2013
By Gary, OH
Bought this based on America's Test Kithchen review. For under $25.00 it works awesomely. Bought it to make apple sauce. Works great, pretty easy clean up. All stainless steel would have been nicer (at 3 or 4 times the price), but I'll worry about that if I use this enough to wear it out. Minimal effort to use, reverses to keep mill going. Bowl grips work well on my stainless steal bowls and pans. Truely love it!

Truth is that I have yet to use the Food Mill. Looks good, though. Good price. Food Mill and Ricer. Assembles easily. Existing reviews sold it to me.

5 rating of food mill

I really like the food mill. I have one that was my mothers which got all rusted in my cupboard. This one is great, all I have to do is try to keep the disks from rusting. I look forward to using it. I put that my husband and I cook for the two of us, but a lot of times we cook for 5 to 8 people.

This product is lightweight and easy to use. It does a great job and is a great value. My only criticism is that it is a bit difficult to get the stabilizing bar locked in under the tabs.

Product is not sturdy enough for daily or constant use, but is perfectly acceptable for occasional use, which is all I needed. Works as advertised.

I was very pleased with how well this food mill worked. The ease of changing the blades and different applications it can be used for is nice.

3 Does job cheaply!

It is too light and difficult to hold in place when in use. I would spend a little more next time and get an all metal one. It just feels a bit flimsy but is ok for small lighter applications

it was a good value for the money and how much I will be using it. It will not get as much use with me (I will use it seasonally because of apple season) compared to someone else who might use it daily....if I were to use it constantly I would have gotten a really good model....this one was good for my needs.

5 Food Mill
October 18, 2010
By BeAnn, ND
Great product. Super value. Cuts my food prep time way down because I no longer have to seed and remove peels from tomatoes before making soup! It would be most helpful if instructions were included as to how to install the round metal grater.

I read a review in a cooking magazine and wanted a food mill to try out. The price for this one was great for a beginner product. It did take me awhile to put the thing together since I have never used a food mill and simple instructions would have been appreciated.

I feel it was worth the value. I haven't used it yet. I did want an all stainless mill. But the price on them was way over what I was willing to pay for the amount of times that i actually will use it.
