The meat pounder was a gift for my mother, she just used it on Memorial Day for the pork chops she made and she said it worked just great and was one of the best ones she ever had. She just loved it.

4 Meat pounder
January 3, 2011
By TAMARA, NY
I like the idea that this has a larger surface area than other pounders. It worked well. However, the one I got was dropped before it was shipped and had a little dent in it. Since it was a credit that I used, I didn't send it back. It did not affect the way the item works. I'm not sure if it's easier to use than the mallet type of pounder though.

This was the pounder I have been looking for. I have one that looks like a hammer and it is hard for me to use. With this one I have more control. My husband liked it very much too. I would buy this again.

4 Pleased Meat Pounder
April 26, 2009
By Pauline, NJ
The Oxo meat pounder is 'just right' for both my husband's hand and mine - he has short wide fingers and mine are long and slender. We both liked the feel of the grip which made pounding much easier. The weight is evenly distributed and it's just the right weight ... not too heavy, not too light. It thins the meat but doesn't mash or mush it. It's easy to clean but fitting it into the drawer for storage was interesting. We decided to leave it on the countertop instead. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
