Bacon press is over priced, but still a better value than other presses I have seen. Being round, which I think is an advantage over square or rectangular, it covers more of the surface area of the pan. I wanted a flat surface, but have not found that to be a problem.

This bacon press is very nice and heavy and has an attractive design on top. The only thing negative about it is that you can burn your hand when using the handle to pick it up. The wood part isn't long enough to keep your hand from touching the iron. Use a hot pad when handling it.

I have not used this press for bacon, but have used it for breakfast ham and for pork steaks. The press is large enough for chops and steaks. I am very happy with this product.

5 This works perfect in my skillet
January 20, 2012
By Elizabeth, NM
The round bacon press works perfect in any skillet, but in non-stick one must be careful about scratches. Also following directions to season the press first will keep the bacon from sticking to it. I take it out of the skillet and let the grease blot off on a paper towel after cooking. The bacon was nice and uniformly crisp. If you have a square
griddle, the square press will do even better, getting all the ends of the bacon crisp without repositioning the bacon or press.

By Donna, WA
I had seen one a long time ago and looked and looked for one. I finally found it at Cooking.com and it works great. I fits the entire pan serface and is heavy enough that you can do sausage patties, hamburgers, bacon and steaks. They all comeout done and still juicey in the middle.
Thank you for a quality product.

Il bought my Bacon Press over a year ago and liked it so much I got one for each of my children. It is a real bargain for the price and fits my 9 inch frying pan perfectly! Thank you for making one of the few "reasonably priced" and sturdy products on today's market.

The only fault I see with this product is the handle is too short to cover the cast iron tabs it is attached to, and can cause a burn on the hand, if the user is not careful. If the wood handle was extended to cover the tabs, as on other presses, it would eliminate this. Other than that, it works fine.

4 Makes Bacon even Better
September 24, 2010
By Kay, MO
Love what this does to bacon, seems to make it taste even better. I cook in a cast iron grill skillet so the combination renders crispy, almost greaseless bacon.
