4 Over-the-sink Colander
July 14, 2014
By James, LA
Oddly, sometimes I need to have two or three colanders going for "timed drains" (i.e., salted zucchini strips resting in one, rinsing chopped veggies in another, etc.). This is a quick solution that stores easily with a small footprint.

4 Expandable Colander
July 11, 2014
By KoKo, AL
I had a similar colander that I purchased some years ago, but the 'handles' came unattached from the edge of the basket, making it very unstable. I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to purchase a new one, but they were out of stock. So, I turned to this one and purchased it for about 2x the price of the BBB colander. It is nice and I like it, but it does now have supportive bands under the basket. My previous basket had them and the basket would sit upright if you took it into the garden to pick veggies. This one does not, it isn't horrible but it will rock to the side and if your basket is full then your produce spills out.

5 Best Ever!!!

This is the most awesome colander ever. I saw it on QVC in the background when Rachel was on QVC. I had to have it so I got it from this site. What a wonderful idea.

4 Product is as shown, but hard to clean
August 12, 2013
By Dena, MA
This is a sturdy, large strainer, with crookedish legs to hold it on the sinktop. But I haven't had any problems. However, I took it out of the dishwasher and it smelled weird, so I took a good look at it, and tons of food was caught and stuck under the metal rim around strainer. What a bummer. I don't know where it came from, but it sure is hard to get out!

4 expandable colander

By Roxie, TN
The colander needs support strips on the bottom that would keep it from rolling over when it is not over-the-sink.

4 My Spaghetti is High and Dry
February 14, 2011
By judith, PA
I only have a single sink in the kitchen, so by the time dinner is almost done (and my pasta needs to be drained) my sink is rarely completely clean. I don't like the hot water splashing from a dirty sink back onto the pasta. So this colander pleases me since it keeps the food several inches above the sink surface. I like it. I wish it was a bit more sturdily constructed, but is has not failed me.

4 Great for Rinsing Pasta
September 19, 2009
By Phyllis, MI
I found this product great for rinsing pasta, fruits and vegetables, and it was very handy and very easy to use. It was not so great for straining ground beef because some of the beef became caught under the rim of the product, but otherwise, I really like this product.

2 flimsy colander
May 6, 2009
By pamela, CT
this colander wobbles and frequently falls off the sink edge at the worst time such as when I am pouring a boiling pot of pasta in it to drain. I have to extend the 'legs" out to their max to fit the edge of my "FRANKE" double sink. the colander is too large for my small sink. the sink is a large oval shape, maybe this colander is no good for those sinks.

5 A great find
December 31, 2008
By Judi, CA
I gave this to my son-in-law and of course the first remark was, "this will be great to use for my tools in the garage", meaning his car parts! He loves it because it will fit over the kitchen sink and is great for rinsing pasta, fruits and vegetables. Judi, CA

5 Very Handy
December 29, 2008
By Gerald, NY
The over the sink colander is a great idea. It frees up the hands. Since the screen is smaller than most colanders, it also works well as a strainer

Best colander I ever owned. Perfect size for rinsing vegetables and fruits. Also, never loose a single noodle anymore. No fumbling with smaller colanders. Love it.

I think the product is a good kitchen tool and the price was good, however it was broken when I opened the box, so it's never been used.

This colander is heavy duty and great for many different applications. I put it on a 5 gallon bucket when getting vegetables from the garden then take right to sink.

This is wonderful, so easy to clean all your veggies and you don't have to worry about it slipping into the sink like so many others do.It's just ideal. Love it and it washes up just as easy as 1 2 3... Freeda
