4 Pie Crust Shield (9.5 inch)
December 30, 2013
By Victoria, NE
The product came in just in time for Christmas pie making. Did a side-by-side test with the shield and good old aluminum foil. The end results were almost identical - but dealing with the pie shield is SO much easier. I used it on a regular 9 inch pie and then on a big deep dish pie - worked great on both. I'm definitely going to get another one.

Great service. Well made product. Pies turn out a beautiful golden brown with flaky crust. No more burnt or dark edges. Great product.

I feel this was a bit pricey for the convenience to not have to use tinfoil.

5 Happy Wife!
December 23, 2010
By Joseph, FL
I bought this product for my wife. She used it to make some pumpkin pies for the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas). When I asked her how she liked it, she said she loves it and wants three more! You can't get happier than that!

5 Perfect for protecting crusts
November 23, 2010
By Shari, IL
This crush shield is the perfect size for all the newer pie pans on the market. I have a 9 inch shield which doesn't fit 9 inch pans, so this one does the trick. I love that it slips on or off without making indentions or pulling the crust. Get yourself one, no, two of them!

5 A replacement for an old favorite
November 20, 2010
By Catherine, MA
While moving into a new home I lost my pie crust shield. I had used it for years, and was very anxious to replace it. As the holiday baking season approaches, I was happy to see that Cooking.com had the Mrs. Anderson's shield available. I ordered it right away, and now I'm ready for those Thanksgiving pies. Perfect crust every time!

4 Excellent Pie Crust Shield
April 8, 2010
By Clinton, PA
The pie crust shields ordered were shipped on a timely basis and arrived quickly. They were exactly as advertised and work very well. The first two pies baked using the shields came out perfect. I got precisely what I had expected. This was a very good purchase.

I have not used it yet but I know I will like it. I have been looking for one for quite some time as it is so easy to get the edges of a pie crust too brown.

3 Serves its purpose.
December 12, 2008
By Marsha, IL
This shield easily became bent out of shape while stored in my cabinet, and it was kind of difficult to bend it back into shape to rest level on my pie pan. It protects my crusts sufficiently, but I'll be looking for an upgrade that doesn't get bent out of shape.

Much more convenient than using foil, but it's a little too big for some of the frozen pie crusts.

So much easier then trying to wrap tin foil, and works wonderfully to let the pie cook without burning the crust. I wouldn't bake a pie without it. I own a ton of them.
