This Yogurt Maker is so easy to use. When you put the yogurt in the jars, you just put the cover on and set the timer. Turn it on and forget it. It sounds a few beeps when it is done and then shuts itself off. I am on my second batch.

This nifty little gadget provides for an easy and inexpensive way to make homemade organic yogurt. I made myself some honey yogurt because it's my favorite. It was quite good! I cannot wait to try some fresh fruit yogurts. I like that the appliance comes with little glass jars for individual servings. Euro-Cuisine also offers a three-year warranty on this product, which is a bonus. It seems to be a sturdy set up and I think it will get a lot of use out of it.

5 Yogurt maker

We spent a week at a B and B in Lucca, Italy where our hostess set out a wonderful breakfast each day. Included was homemade yogurt and homemade jam to mix in. I was amazed and told her so. She said. "All you do is fill the containers and the machine does the rest!" I bought this as soon as I came home. First try I made actual yogurt ti which we added honey. Wonderful!

3 Good and Bad
April 26, 2012
By Michael, CA
This product is made with #7 polycarbonate Bpa plastic jar lids as well as the lid for the entire device. On the box, it says Bpa free containers, and yet the rest of the materials are all Bpa plastic. This is ridiculous and was very disappointing for me. Condensation from the warm interior causes water to bead on the polycarbonate lid that covers all of the jars. This is probably the only way Bpa's would be able to enter the yogurt. However, the machine itself works great and makes good yogurt, but I don't feel comfortable feeding this yogurt to my kids. Please discontinue this product.

4 Good basic yogurt warmer!
March 9, 2012
By Laura, IL
I have made two batches of Fat Free yogurt so far with good results. Since the directions advise 10 hours for FF yogurt, I make it the night before and have finished yogurt the next day. I did purchase the dried starter which works well. For the second batch I did add 1/3 cup dried milk powder to add more body. Flavor is nice, clean and fresh! My only complaint is that the timer stays where you set it so you really don't know in the morning how much time is left. An improvement would be to add a countdown timer or digital timer. Lots of info on the internet available for recipes/suggestions. Will look forward to continued experimentation!

5 Yogurt Maker Purchase
June 22, 2011

As a diabetic it's important for me to count carbs. I have found that commerical yogurt contained more carbs than I needed to take in as part of a meal or snack. The Automatic yogurt maker allows me to make the adjustments needed to control the amount of sugar in a single serving. I made my first batch of yogurt soon after buying the product and am very happy with the results. It was easy to use and I like being able to control the consistency of the yougurt using the timer. Once again I can make smoothies and add yogurt back into my breafast meals.

5 Homemade Yogurt Is the Best!
April 30, 2011
By Ellyn, OR
I bought this yogurt maker to be able to make my own instead of paying the high prices in the store for Vegan Yogurt. It took a few tries (but it wasn't the machine's fault) and I have not regretted my purchase for a single moment. Love the auto shut-off.
Did find that small canning jars (jelly) fit great and are quite a bit less expensive for a dozen rather than paying for a 2nd set of jars specifically made for the maker.

I am very happy with this yogurt maker. The glass jars keep the yogurt really cold. I love that old-fashioned feel of eating from a glass container versus plastic. It just seems cleaner somehow.

I was a little worried the first time I make the yogurt that the timer didn't count down the time, but the bell rang and the light indicated the time had elapsed.

It's very lightweight and easy to store during the week.

I am the only one who eats yogurt in my household, so the seven jars it comes with is enough. However, I would recommend purchasing extra jars for those who eat more.

For the first batch, I used non-fat milk and leftover storebought yogurt for the starter. It was delicious but a little grainy. For subsequent batches, I used a combination of non-fat and 1% milk which improved the texture.

I recommend this product without any reservations.

Easy to use. Had a batch going the day it arrived. Little time consuming with the heating of the milk, but overall a snap to use.
Time feature is really nice. Set it and forget it.
Will recommend to friends and family

4 Good Yogurt Maker
March 2, 2010
By Lynette, WI
I chose this yogurt maker after doing some research on various models. This model has glass jars rather than plastic, and has the availability for purchasing a second set of jars so that you can make a new batch prior to when the other batch has been completely eaten. I also chose it because it has a timer that will shut it off after a certain time, since many models only beep when done but continue to stay on, which means you need to be available to turn it off.

Do be sure to follow directions carefully. It recommends heating the milk even if it is pasteurized, but you need to be sure to cool it completely to room temperature prior to adding yogurt starter. I learned the hard way that if you don't do the cooling, it will create a curdled mess. When I follow the directions :), it turns out perfect. I have made both plain and vanilla, and have used either a store-bought plain yogurt as a starter, or else have used some of the previous batch to start a new batch. Powdered starter is available, but it seemed pricey given it works well the other way.

I love the taste and consistency of this natural yogurt, and it is definitely more economical to make your own.

4 Yogurt--easy and delicious!
January 31, 2010
By Mary, VA
I am very pleased with this yogurt maker. I have made 2 batches so far and they have been delicious. For both batches, I have used the powered yogurt starter. I will start experimenting with using yogurt for starter on my next batch. I use organic whole milk and carefully monitor the temp during the prep phase with a Thermapen. Then I let the yogurt incubate overnight. I really like the automatic shut-off. I highly recommend this product to yogurt lovers!

The yogurt maker works as advertised but it seems cheaply built. The jars have a little ring impression inside at the bottom which is very hard to clean. Instructions are written like they were poorly translated from a foriegn language by someone unfamiliar with English. But the yogurt is tasty.

5 Automatic Yogurt Maker by Euro Cuisine
July 6, 2009
By Louise, CA
This yogurt maker performed as I expected. I was a little concerned that the center may be hotter but I noticed no difference in the overall quality of the yogurt. I am still experimenting with the recipe for a thicker soy yogurt and it's nice to have an efficient product to work with so I can try many small batches within a weeks time. Realizing that I will be cooking, baking and creating sauces and ice cream with the soy yogurt I may need to move up to a yogurt maker that holds larger bottles.

I love the glass jars as they are easy to clean although the lids leak if they are turned slightly to the side. I love the automatic shut off timer and especially one that does not beep when the machine shuts off after an overnight incubation.

5 Nice Yogurt Maker

The Yogurt Maker is just as specified - it's fine just as is. However my husband decided that he wanted to make it easier (no little bottles) so we purchased a 7 cup glass Pyrex bowl with a plastic lid for storage after the yogurt is made. That works well also.

Good product at good price. I really like the yogurt done in this machine. However, the time setting is very basic and once you set the timer for a particular time, if you want or need to change it, it must be unplugged. Another disadvantage of the timer is that it does not move so you do not know how much time is left, unless it was written down or remembered. Still, once you know the tricks, it works perfectly.
