3 Difficult to operate for me
June 27, 2014
By Cheryl, CA
Did not receive the cookbook with my order that the instruction video describes. I am having difficulty figuring out how to attach the slicing blade to the post it goes on. I am disappointed that I cannot slice apples whole.

5 This was a smoking deal through Cooking.com.

I love this food processer. Have used it for shredding cheese, making salsa and slicing veggies. Have not used the dough blade yet. Nice and quiet operation and base is very substantial. Hopefully it will give me many years of service as my old Cuisinart did. Love the way it looks on the counter too!

4 Shredding Magic
March 5, 2014
By Katherine, VA
I bought this food processor hoping for something simple and effective. I got both. The two button operation(one for on and one for off/pulse) is perfect. I found the processor easy to put together without reading the instructions. My favorite thing about this food processor is the shredding disk. Shredding cheese, zucchini, and carrots is super easy and fast. The only thing I find as a slight downside, is it will leave a 1/8-1/4" piece of whatever you're trying to shred. So far, I have not used it for much else. I cannot wait until summer though, because I imagine this will be perfect for making fresh pico de gallo.

4 So far, so good...
January 19, 2014
By Stacy, CA
Got my Cuisinart for Christmas and have really enjoyed it so far. I primarily chose this particular processor because it received an outstanding rating from America's Test Kitchens (ATK). Reviewers on the cooking.com website echoed the accolades. This, coupled with the Cuisinart name and the fantastic price sealed the deal. The machine is powerful, quiet and efficient, making jobs like mixing, chopping and slicing a snap. A couple of minor negatives that I must point out: I was disappointed with the clean up of the detachable pieces. While you can throw all of them in the dishwasher--which is great--drying some of the pieces is difficult (if not impossible) as some of the areas are unreachable with a drying towel. Initial assembly of all the parts took me a while to figure out, although a DVD is included. My last processor (a Moulinex I'd had for over 20 years), was very easy to put together, and I'm sure once I am used to this machine it will become second nature, but I don't think most people will just pull it out of the box and assemble it without fumbling for a few moments. Last, I found the processor to be heavy (I keep mine in a cupboard, so hoisting it up and down is a bit of a chore). For those who plan to keep their processor out on the counter, weight probably isn't an issue (and this processor is indeed nice enough in looks to keep out on the counter). All that being said, I'm happy with my purchase and plan to use this processor for many years to come.

5 You will be a very happy cook!!
December 26, 2013
By Donna, NH
I have needed a new food processor for 2 years now! I waited and read any reviews I could find and felt this one was the best. I needed a heavy duty, large capacity work horse and this one fills my needs. I was lucky enough to get a good price-very happy cook now.

5 Quiet and light weight
December 15, 2013
By Jenny, OR
I had an old Hobart/KitchenAid food processor that weighed about 2X the weight of this one...and was MUCH louder. The bowl seemed to be about 4 cups bigger, but the 14 cup Cuisinart is the largest available now. Very happy with my purchase!

5 A True Workhorse, A True Value
December 14, 2013
By Margaret, VA
I read many reviews of various food processors before selecting this Cuisinart Custom 14-cup model. I have had Cuisinart food processors for 35 years or more, but had grown increasingly soured on the construction, materials, and workmanship. In checking reviews last month, I concluded that Cuisinart was the way to go, in general -- and that the Custom was the particular choice to make. One reviewer was practically in tears over the one she DID buy, wishing so hard that she had gone the Custom route. At any rate, I am thrilled with this model ... the solid construction; the attention to details, particularly in view of safety; the scary-fabulous blades; the 14-cup bowl; the instruction manual and video ... what's not to like? Finally, a true workhorse at a great price!

5 Love This!
December 1, 2013
By Janet, KS
I have wanted a Cuisiinart Food Processor for years but always thought they were too expensive. I watch the TV chefs use them and they never have to fight the locking device so it will fun. My old one was a bear to lock. I was researching the cost so hubby could get it for me for Christmas and saw this one was marked WAY down. Had to order it right away. I love it!

5 CUISINART 14-CUP FOOD PROCESSOR
November 28, 2013
By Evelyn, OK
Needing a new food processor, I went to the reviews posted by Americas Test Kitchens. I read all of their evaluations and made my decision based upon their experiences in their test kitchens. It took some time to research and do a compare/contrast but was well worth the time spent.

4 Quiet yet powerful
November 17, 2013
By Noriko, TX
I am so far happy with it's performance. It is quiet but cut things very well. The assembly of the lid is a bit tricky and not as "one touch operation" as I want it to be.

5 Upgrading/replacing old appliances
November 9, 2013
By Bonnie, NY
I had a small food processor that my mother had given to me about ten years ago. It functioned well for what I needed at the time but after awhile I began to look into newer models with larger capacity bowls. I thought this food processor was a good buy for me and it had everything that I was looking for in a replacement/upgrade of my previous food processor.

I had an old, smaller Cuisinart for over 20 years and thought it did the job ok. I upgraded solely to get more capacity but I feel as though I got more than that. It's a great food processor.

I had my original Cuisinart food processor for 23 years-no other appliance can do what this appliance does-I'm hoping to get another 23 years out of this one.(If I live that long!)
